1. True Windows Technology

AV2 dealership management system was developed for Windows and takes advantage of the rich user interface available and tools such as drag-n-drop which makes it exceptionally user friendly and very easy to learn. Gone are the days of memorizing alphanumeric codes to specify a service menu item, with a Windows based system all coded values have friendly names instead which can be chosen from a drop-down list. User friendly software means less time training. Users can specify their own shortcuts keys for all controls as well allowing rapid data entry once they are comfortable with the system. AV2 also uses the MDI (multiple document interface) so that you can open as many windows as you wish and position and size them as you see fit. AV2 permits users to 'skin' their environment giving each user a choice of creating custom themes to change the visual appearance of the system to their liking. AV2 was built using the Tomkorp BC engine which we created from scratch using C++ and C#, two of the most powerful and current computer languages available today! Unlike some other systems AV2 does not depend on Microsoft Access, Filemaker, PowerBuilder, or any other database application. This gives us total control when it comes to adding new features or modifying existing components. There is nothing we cannot make the system do. The system can export data into any standard format such as CSV and XML and supports ODBC as well for direct connection to the backend database.

5. Full Integration Between All Modules

Each module in our dealer software integrates seamlessly to the other modules and data is shared among them all. Customers entered in the deals module will be available to all other modules, for example, when the customer returns for service work (possibly as a result of the automated service reminder created by AV2) their information will already be in the system waiting for the service adviser to find.

6. Secure Client/Server Design - All data is `real-time`

AV2 is a true multi-user system with all data being stored on a central server computer so that information can be accessed by and unlimited number of users concurrently. Special care was taken to avoid as well as resolve ant write conflicts (when two or more users are editing the same data). The server computer has no direct internet connection and is protected by a Linux box. All data sent over the internal network can be encrypted or compressed or both if desired. Several user groups can be created such as `Manager`, `Sales Person`, `Service Advisor`, etc. with each group granted access to only specific areas of AV2 and each user has their own username/password needed to login. In addition, individual screens can have each have their own security settings and in fact each control on the screen can have it's own security setting! All data entered is instantly available to all modules which means you will always been looking at the `real deal` when viewing vehicle, deal, or work order information. All user activity is logged including any changes to data, navigation, and attempted logins. The internal messaging system is a great alternative to Internet email as an intra-office communications tool since the internal system is immune from viruses and spam so that you can be sure that the recieptant of your message will read it.

7. Built-in Feature Request System

A novel feature of AV2 is the built-in feature request system which allows users to type in ideas for new features as soon as they think of them which minimized the chance of forgotten ideas. The AV2 developers can remotely login to your system, check for new feature requests and post messages requesting more info, or to inform the user that the request was accepted. New updates can be released very often and are automatically applied with virtually no downtime.

AV2 can run on virtually any modern Windows XP system. There is no need to buy special hardware or be forced to alter your existing computer network. AV2 runs on a simple peer-to-peer network model. AV2 can be installed on a single computer or in a network of up to 50 systems. In addition, there are other flavours of AV2 which allow access to inventory for salespersons using a web browser (possibly on a Linnux system), WAP enabled cell phone, or a PDA PocketPC. AV2 can also run in a thin client environment.
