Module::Vehicles

Management of you inventory of vehicles couldn't be easier with our powerful vehicles module. It all starts with the purchase of the vehicle at which point an entry is made and the vehicle is set to `In Transit` status. These vehicles can be easily viewed in the system which reduces paperwork and eliminates the chance that a vehicle could be forgotten. When a work order is created on any vehicle in transit it is automatically set to in stock. You can view vehicles that were added to the system as far back as 10 years so that there is a complete audit trail from purchase to sale. AV2 supports VIN duplication checking and validation to ensure that you've properly entered the VIN and also VIN decoding for the major manufactures. Intelligent calculation of the vehicle costs based on the acquisition costs as well as reconditioning costs and/or other costs provide accurate and up-to-date total costs which are provide an accurate profit picture for the Deals module. Each vehicle can have an unlimited number of option items such as `MP3 CD Player` and new options can be added on-the-fly in a matter of seconds! There is also a QuickAdd tool which allows you to scan in the VIN from a barcode to allow rapid entry of newly purchased vehicles.

A novel feature of AV2 is the ability to quickly and easily add vehicle pictures to the system using a PocketPC and wireless network connection. All you have to do is point and shoot, then enter the stock number and our custom PocketPC application uploads and links the image to the correct vehicle in the system instantly! In this way all vehicles on your lot can have multipleimages associated with them in seconds to be used when printing window stickers, creating newspaper ads, or when the vehicle is published to the dealer website (or any other website such as www.carpages.ca or www.motoseller.com). Our dealership software is built to help you increase sales.

If you do not have the parts and service module then you can manually enter as many reconditioning costs as you wish with each having separate tax code.

Some reports that are available include: salesperson stock, salesmanager stock, and inventory value. New reports can be created remotely in a matter of minutes by AV2 support staff upon your request.
